About the Happy Hound Hotel

Canine Caregivers

Linda McCoy: Linda grew up with dogs and has worked with them her whole life. She has a varied background, but her first love always was, and still remains, the adored K-9.

A long time desire of Linda's has been to help the dogs left behind in the animal shelters, and give them a second chance at life. She is making that dream come true and continues to be actively involved in rescue work.

Linda shares her life with Newman, Izzy and Ribsey, all of whom are a treasured part of her life.

Notes from Linda:  We have an incredible group of people that work for HHH and I am so proud of everyone that works for us. They are all committed to the dogs, and that is obvious in the way that they care for everyone out here. There is nothing better than seeing the happy faces and the frantic tail wags of the dogs that come out here! It is the most fulfilling and rewarding job I have ever known, and I think everyone who works here feels the same way. Even though the dogs are away from home, we treat them as part of our own family!!

Sarah Witte: As you can see, Sarah is definitely part of the pack. When she's not working here, she's either in school or volunteering with one of the local non-profit groups. She's a real joy to have around and we are thrilled to have her. She is a genuinely happy person and always flashes us her special smile. All the dogs just love her! Sarah just had to get one of her own and adopted our sweet little foster dog, Ruby Dee. We think they are a match made in heaven.

Noelle Harman: When Noelle decided to give up her 10 yr. career as an attorney and come to work for us, we were very excited. She is learning all the ins and outs of the dog business and is a wonderful addition to our staff. Noelle has a love for photography and will be sending out lots of fun pictures to our clients. She shares her life with her husband, and her 2 happy Labs, Luke and Linus.

Andrea Owre: Andy started out as a client and ended up as a staff member. She is a wonderful asset to our HHH team, and we are very pleased to have her on board. She comes from a long line of animal care - her family operated a dog boarding facility back in Montana. Andy shares her life with her husband, her 2 young kids, and big goofy Newfie named Gus that we all just adore!!!

Sydney Metter: Syd is one of our youngest pack members, and has a soft, quiet way about her ... and is just plain old sweet. She is learning all the ins and outs of working with dogs in a group setting and seems to really enjoy herself as part of the pack. Obviously, the dogs really like her too and they are the true tests of character.  Sydney is dog-free at the moment, but we're thinking that the more time she spends out here, that scenario might just change!

Kim Dawson: Kim has been a long time client and decided that when her human kids were old enough that she wanted to come and work with dogs. Lucky for us! She is a fantastic new team member who performs her work at the speed of light. All the dogs think she is pretty great too! Kim shares her life with her husband, 2 boys, and some of our favorite Labs, Rosie & Murphy, who think coming to work with mom is pretty cool!

Stacy Carlson: Stacy recently graduated with a Masters degree in School Counseling. She hopes to start her career working with kids and we think she will thrive in that position. Stacy has a calm, easy-going demeanor and always has a lovely smile on her face. We are very happy to have her as one of our staff members, and so are all of our dog guests! Stacy has 2 little treasures of her own, Max, the Scotty, and Olive, the Pug.

Kaylene Nadalin: Kaylene takes on the role of our youngest staff member. She recently graduated from Eastlake High School and her lovely dog Sara was a former client of ours. Sadly, Sara passed away last year, but fortunately for us, we now have her human caretaker as part of our HHH team! Kaylene has caught onto the job very quickly and her pleasant and cheerful personality helps her fit right in to the pack!

Amy Kennedy: Amy was a student at the University of CA, but due to a family illness, decided to come home and continue her education locally. She is getting to know all of the dogs and seems to really enjoy herself out here. Amy's warm smile and friendly ways are a big hit with humans and dogs alike! She has a happy hound at home named Riley, a St. Bernard/Aussie mix.

Sarah Brown: Sarah is a student at Western WA University and is here for the summer helping out with all the happy hounds! She has experience with kids as a camp counselor is learning how to transfer all the great knowledge to the 4-legged kids. We're happy to have her as part of our HHH team!

Kelsey Keizur: Kelsey is a junior at UW and came on board to help out during the summer. She has previously worked as a vet tech assistant, and has aspirations of becoming a vet herself. Kelsey wants to learn everything she can about dog behavior and this is just the place to do it! We're glad she's here!

2009 - 2010 Some exciting news for Kelsey is that she just became one of the student handlers for the UW mascot Husky named Dubs!! We are very proud of her and think Dubs is one lucky dog to have Kelsey taking care of him.

Tonya Gehrig: Tonya came to us as a referral from one of our other staff members and we think she is a great find! She has her own dog walking and pet sitting service and says that working at HHH is a "wonderful start to my day."  We are very happy to have Tonya and her feisty little pup Lucy as part of our team!

Jim Ingman: Jim is our resident handyman and fix everything guy, has been with HHH for several years now. He helps keep the property looking good and things working the way they're supposed to. And when we're short-handed, he helps out with the dogs too. They all know him as the nice guy who tosses all the tennis balls around.
